Suffix "er"

• Whit adjectives of one sillable. Examples:

        tall                     taller           than

        clean                 cleaner        than

        fast                    faster          than               

        hard                   harder        than

        quick                 quicker       than

        nice                   nicer            than

• Whit adjectives that end in y ( 2 sillables)

        easy                  easier           than

        happy               happier          than

        early                 earlier           than

        lazy                   lazier             than

        pretty               prettier          than

• Irregular adjectives:

          good             better  than

          well               better  than

          bad               worse   than

          badly            worse   than
